While she was looking pretty good in the 2012 photo, the harsh Florida sun has taken its toll and she is in need of a paint job Check out the 2014 and 2016 photos to see the slow progression of paint deterioration.

Ex KLM Connie, beautifully preserved at the Wroughton Science Museum facility. Delivered to KLM in 1947, as PH-TET "Tilburg", later PH-LDT, and withdrawn from use Sep 1960. It was converted to freighter in 1962, then briefly carried TI-1045P in 1964 before becoming N7777G that same year. As such it saw service with many operators until impounded at Dublin in 1974, where it would remain for many years. Sold to Aces High in 1982 and registered as G-CONI, but reg never applied. The Science Museum acquired the aircraft and transported it from Dublin to Wroughton in July 1983. Restoration completed in Sep 1984 in TWA colours, even though it never flew for TWA.

Anonymous C-121C with no titles. The serial 54-157 is worn in very small numerals on the aft fuselage below the tailplane. Operated by the 193rd Tactical Electronics Warfare Squadron of the Pennsylvania ANG.

This C-121 served with the 193rd Tactical Electronic Warfare Group at Olmstead AFB, PA until Nov.1977, when it was retired after 21 years to MASDC. It escaped the boneyard in August 1981 and registered N1104W but the hoped-for civilian career didn't materialise and it is now on display at the NASM Udvar-Hazy Center.

Now moved to the restoration compound at the Pima Air & Space Museum, hopefully, she will be back on display soon looking as good as new.

Actually US Navy machine 141309, this Warning Star is preserved in the museum at McClellan representing 53-0552, an aircraft once based here.

Operating a weekly summer Inclusive tour service to Palma. The aircraft was ex KLM PH-LKK and served Iberia from 03.61 to 05.67. As 5T-TAC it crashed on approach to Port Harcourt, Biafra, in 01.68 during that civil war.

Ex Air France passenger aircraft. Modified as convertible pax/freighter with 102 seats and used by Catair from 1968 until November 1972. Scrapped in 1979 at Nimes-Garons.

"Flagship Holland" was delivered to AOA on 4 April 1946. The airline was merged into Pan Am on 25 September 1950. N90924 flew with TWA from May 1952 until sale in March 1962. Photo obtained from Lockheed.

This early production Constellation wears 'NX' over its normal 'NC' prefix during pre-delivery tests by Lockheeds. Its c/n is marked on the rear fuselage. It was delivered to Pan Am on 5 January 1946. To Cubana as CU-T-547 in June 1953. From Lockheed 60 years ago.

Delivered to Air France on 11 January 1950. Bought by Air Algerie in December 1955, serving until withdrawn in 1960. Also visible are Pan Am's Stratocruiser N1040V and two DC-6B's.

Delivered new to Trans World Airlines in July 1957. Converted from pax to freight in 1961. Sold in 1967. Scrapped at Miami in early 1973.

I can hardly put into words what a thrill it is for me, a guy captivated by classic commercial aviation, to visit the Airpark at the wonderful Museum of Flight. This stunning Connie has now taken her place there alongside probably the most famous airliner of all tme, N7470.

'Connie' came down to Essendon for the airport's Open Day in 1996. The GPS lash-up on the central binnacle has since been replaced by a more engineered version and the soundproofing has been given a touch up, otherwise she still looks much the same. It's great to have this lovely aeroplane still flying.

Shot of the rear cabin. This beautiful old MATS aircraft has been lovingly restored by the Super Constellation Flyers Association and will be based at Basel.

SCFA planned to restore this cargo aircraft and bring it to Switzerland to fly passengers on the European airshow circuit. The former U.S. Navy and Aerochago airplane was ferried from Santo Domingo to Avra Valley, AZ, where it arrived on January 7, 2001. Restoration was well underway in August 2002 when the SCFA suspended efforts due to the FAA's decision not to issue a standard airworthiness certificate as the result of 9/11. The aircraft was stripped of useful parts by SCFA, and later HARS, before being disassembled and moved to Bridgewater, Virginia, where it was stored in 2018.
