This airplane's USAF origins as 48-608 are visible on the tail.

Longtime resident of Ryan Field was scrapped in January 2002. Parts from this aircraft were used to restore 48-610, "Columbine II."

After being stripped of parts for the rebuild of 48-610 "Columbine II" in 1990, the aircraft was parked at Ryan Field for many years until finally being scrapped in January 2002. Delivered to the USAF as VC-121B 48-608, it was sold to Christler Flying Service after retirement and converted into a large acreage sprayer.
