Former Monroe County Mosquito Control DC-3 is parked without its tail at the south end of the airport alongside DC-3 N220GB.

Parked on the Monarch Air Group ramp in September 2009, this DC-3 is flying cargo out of OPF with Florida Air Cargo in 2017. With Pat's Mail Express (PME) nose art.

You don't see too many ski-equipped C-47's. Triple Seven Yankee Alpha had been stored for quite some time at Palmer and had seen several changes of ownership but kept the 'Woods Air Service' titles. Its career took off again in 2007 and ended with Bush Air Cargo in 2015 due to a landing accident, still in the same colours.

Transair's Dakota after positioning from its London (Croydon) base to Ringway to pick up Sunday newspapers for Ireland. The aircraft served Transair from October 1952 until December 1954.

Painted as and is ex USAAF 38-0502. The airplane was the first DC-3 type aircraft purchased by the US military.

Beautifully restored C-47A is part of a vintage aircraft collection owned by Dynamic Aviation.

With engine #1 named "Idling Ada". Engine #2 is "Eager Eileen".

Delivered to the USAAF in 1942 as 41-18663. It entered the Australian register in July 1944. It has been operated by ANA, on lease, and in 1946 became one of the first aircraft in the TAA fleet. It was sold to Bush Pilots in 1970 but was soon withdrawn from use at Archerfield due to corrosion. It was sold Chewing Gum Field Museum and transported to its Tallebudgera hangar in 1978. It was last reported circa 2006 in Swan Hill, Victoria, stored dismantled on a farm.

This aircraft was one of the visitors to the Dakota fly-in organised by the Aviodrome. It is seen here taking off for a fly past in very strange light.

Immaculate DC-3 at Airventure 2000

LAC's Dakota 4 has positioned from its Blackpool (Squires Gate) base to perform a charter flight from Ringway. Mancunians watch from the public enclosure as the aircraft is prepared for departure.

Ex RAF Dakota 4 operated by Kuwait National Airways from July 1954 until April 1955.

The third DC-3 to be imported into Australia. It was purchased by ANA and entered the Australian Register as VH-ABR in 1938. It was impressed by the RAAF as A30-3 during World War II. In 1957 following the merger with Ansett Airways, it flew with Ansett-ANA. -ABR passed to subsidiary Airlines of South Australia in 1961. ASA retired the veteran DC-3 in March 1971 but it flew on doing charter work for Ansett Airlines of Australia until 1975. VH-ABR was displayed at Melbourne-Tullamarine before being restored in 1988 for the Australian Bicentennial. In the wake of the bankruptcy of Ansett, it passed to the R.M. Ansett Historical Aircraft Society,

This was Dan-Air's first aircraft, serving from June 1953 until February 1969. It is visiting Ringway on a passenger charter flight. Also on the International Pier are a KLM Viscount 803 and Dan-Air Ambassador.
