Cancelled from the register in 1964. The aircraft passed through several hands including a period as an exhibit at the Cowra Auto Museum. At the time of upload, it was reported to be under restoration in Queensland.

This aircraft was one of 50 transferred to the US Navy as HUP-3 Retriever BuNo 147599.

A development of the earlier Piasecki H-21 Workhorse, it served with the Army in Vietnam until 1964. Taken at a Dayton, Ohio air show in 1954.

Brand new on its way to Japan. The N12B registration looks innocent enough, but it is a dealer's ferry registration. The CAA/FAA allowed and issued one registration for a group of new planes on a ferry flight. In this case all four A-45s in this photo have the registration N12B, and a fifth aircraft with the same reg was also present.

This very rare photo is the only example that I was ever able to get of the little known dealer's ferry registrations. LAC's Dakota 4 has positioned from its Blackpool (Squires Gate) base to perform a charter flight from Ringway. Mancunians watch from the public enclosure as the aircraft is prepared for departure.
