This E-3B was delivered to the USAF on 6 April 1982. It was later modified to E-2B mod (as pictured), then to E-3C and eventually to E-3G. The AWACS belongs to the 964th Airborne Air Control Squadron, commanded by the 552d Air Control Wing at Tinker AFB (OK). It is here pictured (with permission from Souda air base) from outside the base.

Delivered to Continental Airlines as N47331 in 1968. To Varig as PP-VLM on 1972 then to Equator Leasing as N112HM in 1987 and leased to Air Seychelles as S7-2HM from 1988 to 1989. Reregistered as N707EL in 1991. To Angola Air Charter as D2-TOK in 1991. Withdrawn from use at Luanda in 1998 and presumably scrapped.

Delivered to British Eagle as G-ATZD in 1967. Reregistered as VR-BCP in and back to G-ATZD in 1968. To BOAC in 1968 who merged into British Airways in 1974. To Jamahiriya Air Transport as 5A-DJV in 1983. They merged into Libyan Arab Airlines then to ZAS as SU-DAI in 1986. To Okada Air as 5N-AOO then to Belgian International Air Cargo as OO-CDE in 1988, Royal Jordanian as JY-AJM in 1992 and the Argentine Air Force as LV-WXL in 1997. Withdrawn from use at El Palomar Air Base in 2003. Scrapped in 2019.

Parked at Dublin for about a decade before being scrapped in summer 1984.

Delivered to Northwest Orient as N356US in 1964. To Pacific Western as CF-PWJ in 1973 and reregistered as C-FPWJ in 1974. To Abelag as OO-ABA then to Ontario Worldair as C-GRYO in 1979. To Air Belgium as OO-ABA in 1980 then to United African Airlines in 1981 as 5A-DIZ. Renamed to Jamahiriya Air Transport in 1983 and merged into Libyan Arab Airlines in 1986. To African Express Airways as 5Y-AXC in 1986 then to Omega Air as N8163G, Executive Air Services as TF-ANC and Rainbow Cargo Airlines as 9G-RCA in 1989. To Gas Air Nigeria as 9G-RBO in 1991. Damaged beyond repair at Ilorin, Nigeria in 1992.

The former Wardair B707-396C C-FZYP (my photo here) was seized by the US Justice Department after a drug smuggling incident in May 1981 and allocated USAF serial 85-6973. Modified by Northrop Grumman as a JSTARS aircraft and reserialled 00-2000, it was active with 128th ACCS Georgia ANG here at Robins AFB from 2003 to September 2019. To Museum of Aviation in July 2023

Delivered to American Airlines in April 1969, this 707 was photographed four months before it was withdrawn from service at the airline. Sold to travel club Denver Ports of Call in December 1983, it was re-registered N910PC in April 1984. Stored at Waco, TX by 1985, it was reportedly broken up in 1986 at San Antonio, TX.

Delivered as OO-SJO to Sabena Belgium World Airlines on 3 Dec'69. Sold as 9Q-CBS to Scibe Airlift on 30 Jan'85, became 9Q-CBW with the same company in Sep'88. Leased to Air Algérie in Jun'89, returned to Scibe that same month and left for European Airlift in 1990 and returned to Scibe in that same year. So difficult to say which company owned it when this picture was made. Became TL-ALM with Scibe in May'02 and was sold as TL-ADJ to Africa Lines on 6 Aug'02. Eventually sold as again 9Q-CBW to Hewa Bora Airlines in Feb'04. Broken up at Kinshasa (DCR) in 2012.

Parked at Dublin for about a decade before being scrapped in summer 1984. Officially registered as N435MA from December 1979 to March 1982 but these marks were never applied.
