A/C retired from active service in 1973, last stationed at NAS China Lake. Built under USAAF contract as C-47B 43-49442, but delivered new to USN as R4D-6 Bureau Number 50811 in November 1944. In 1984 this a/c was transferred to the Museum of Aviation at Warner Robbins AFB, where it is currently on display.

This aircraft was built as R4D-6 and converted to C-47J in 1962.

This aircraft was built as a C-47B in 1944 with USAF serial number 43-49012 and USN Bu number 50761. It operated with the USN and the USMC from 1944 until 1962, when it was tranferred to the US Army. There, it retained the BuNo as its serial. At the time of upload it was on display at Tinker AFB, OK. In the back is another US Army aircraft, 99831. This one is ex USN too, a R4D-7 to be precise.

Built as C-47B for USAAF as 43-16376, later converted to C-47D, then SC-47D. Transferred to US Navy as 150188 in 1961 as R4D-6 (C-47J from 1962). Latterly served the NARF Pensacola, transferred to the United States Naval Aviation Museum in 1973.

Somewhat backlit to get a shot of this side of the new DC-3 in the miniature city of Madurodam theme park. This DC-3 originally N213GB was rescued from Florida in 2018. New in the miniature city of Madurodam theme park in the city of The Hague is this fully restored DC-3. In the future it will offer "flights" over the miniature town, in a mechanical way. It looks like a large jack will lift the fuselage. This feature is not yet ready. The DC-3 is ex N213GB which was transported by boat from Florida in late 2018. The fake registration PH-APM refers to Albert Plesman, founder of KLM in 1919, over 100 years ago. Note for photographers, it is pretty difficult to get the registration in on this side, which has the afternoon sun. Bring a long lens to allow a distant shot.

An ex NASA aircraft until Jan 73. Spent some time with Auburn University as N1AU and N6326Y before joining Lee County Health Dept., as N840M. Later re-reg N4994N. It may have been between owners at the time this photo was taken. Went to Ag-Air Mar 79, and a few others after that. Reg cancelled May 2007.

One of a series of C-47s used by the US Naval Attache in Canberra. Struck off charge in 1972. Also saw diplomatic service in Cairo, Pretoria, Oslo, Mexico City and New Delhi.

Built as C-47B 43-49442 but delivered direct to the US Navy as R4D-6 50811 in 11.44. Later designated C-47J. Served many USN units until retired to Pensacola in 05.73. Loaned to the Robins Museum and painted as "Saylor's Trailer" in 9th AF scheme with "serial" '4349442'.
