slide scan from the NK collection. - Once a common visitor to Munich-Riem when in service with Condor, the oldest Viscount on the German register visited Bavaria again, this time being operated by a Swedish charter airline. - The airframe was last used by Hotair as G-BAPF and was retired in 1990. As a rescue trainer at Moreton-On-March it survived until 2017.

I really like the civil exhibits in their correct historical looks. D-ANAF was delivered to Lufthansa in 1961 looking like this, the titles were updated around 1967. By january 1969 just 7 years after delivery it was taken out of service. It then became an instructional airframe for Lufthansa Technicians. First in Nora c/s then in several different Lufthansa c/s. I remember just being able to see it from the viewing area at Frankfurt in the early 90s. In 2012 it moved to the Museum at Speyer. Now it flies in close formation with the Lufthansa B747-200. They are the outdoor center piece here.

In transit through Prestwick to be re-registered as N145RA with Royal American Airways in the United States. Entered airline service in 1959 as Lufthansa's D-ANIP. Returned to the UK in 1973 to become G-BAPE with British Midland. Sold to Royal American in 1981.
