This C-47 has US serial 43-48717.

Four C-47s were operated by the Federation of South Arabia before they became independent and were renamed South Yemen (which used a different roundel). The first one is seen here. It was sold to Indonesia as PK-WWI in 1974.

Before (South) Yemen became independent it was briefly called Federation of South Arabia (from 1962 until 1967). This was one of their aircraft.

FAP-201 is one of four C-47s obtained by Panama in 1969. Its identity is debated. It has been quoted as c/n 10111 and 10131, but also as c/n 9091 (ex 43-32865), with the first one being the most likely option.

This C-47 has US serial 43-15369.

This aircraft had been restored in the colours of the New York ANG by 2017. It is seen here while operated by 415th SOTS. There are reports of this aircraft being an AC-47D, but is was constructed as C-47B which is also the version that it has been restored to recently. On display at Floyd Bennett Airfield in Brooklyn , NY in Hanger B.

This Israeli Skytrain carries a serial on the rear fuselage, just right of the roundel. Unfortunately it is partly hidden behind a taped cloth, and the remaining numbers are very hard to read. Close examination of the original photo appears to show a "4" to the left of the cover cloth, and "28" to the right of it. Only one Israeli C-47 is known to match this, namely 4X-528 which was reported in the UK in 1954/1955 on delivery to Israel. This photo may have been taken during that delivery flight. No c/n is known for this 4X-528, and all in all the identification of the aircraft in this photo remains highly uncertain.

This is an Israeli Air Force aircraft that later obtained serial 030/4X-FNW. It has US serial 43-48534. The photo may have been taken at Blackbushe, UK during the Farnborough week in September 1958.

Built as a Douglas C-47B-1-DK, it was modified to a C-47D in March, 1951 and stationed at Ladd AFB, Fairbanks, Alaska in April, 1951, For the next several years it alternated between Ladd and Elmendorf AFB, returning to the lower 48 in late 1957. In mid-1966 it was converted to a RC-47P and sent to Vietnam. In May, 1967 it was re-designated EC-47P and on 22 April, 1970 it was shot down by Vietnamese FLAK while on a mission.

Crashed and burned near Lorida, Florida on December 5, 1978. It was later restored to the register by the Okeechobee Country Sheriff but may have been a paper exercise to allow the wreckage to be disposed of. The registration expired in 2011.

Acquired by the Central Australian Aviation Museum in 1995 and moved to Alice Springs. Displayed in Connair colours as VH-EWE.

Delivered to Eastern as NC21729 in 1939. N21729 after 1948. To other operators from 1952. To C-GDAK in 1982. Marked as KN563 on this side and KN456 on the other side.
