Built in 1966 and registered as G-ATSP. To LN-NPE in 1968, N125V then N12KW in 1978, N21MF in 1981, N89HB in 1990 and N67TS in 1995. Later scrapped and registration cancelled in 2002.

Still in the green/black stripes it wore as HZ-BIN. Carried multiple subsequent UK registrations and spent some time in Nigeria as 5N-ALY from 1982-83. Permanently WFU as G-BOCB in 1995. The building to the left served as the airline terminal back then and when it first went up some years earlier, my friends and I had a laugh as it was the same pre-fab design as the overflow classrooms at school.

Seen two years earlier as G-ATSP and it migrated to the USA in 1972. This must have been parked near the threshold of runway 08 which was likely disused even back then.

This was in operation for the Biafra Air Force during the war in Nigeria. It got damaged by rocket fire at Port Harcourt in September 1967 and somehow found its way to Sao Tome where attempts were made to repair it and get it to the USA. I saw a TV documentary about this at some point. There was a problem with the paperwork and it never went and ended up as an instructional airframe with the Nigeria Air Force.

It brought in opera diva Maria Callas and her then boyfriend, shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis. They can be seen going into the GA Terminal. By coincidence I photographed this HS-125 in 1969 when it was LN-NPE with Busy Bee Air Services.

Used by the airport fire service for non-destructive purposes for many years. Put up for disposal by the airport in 2019 but still present a year later.
