Delivered to the Royal Navy as XG797 in 1957. Used as a ground trainer at Arbroath from 1968 then to the Imperial War Museum, Duxford in 1972.

Delivered in 1956 and flew with RAN Squadrons 725, 816 and 817. Wfu August 1967. A better view would have been possible from the gallery above had not the tail unit been removed at the time of my visit.

First flown as XG883 in 1957. Stored until it was delivered to the Royal Navy in 1960. Stored at Yeovilton from 1970 then to the Wales Aircraft Museum, Cardiff in 1983 and the Museum of Berkshire Aviation, Woodley in 1996.

Delivered to the Royal Navy as Gannet AS4 XA459 in 1957. Converted to a Gannet ECM6 from 1959 to 1961. Used as ground trainer A2608 at Lee-on-Solent from 1966 then to Culdrose as a ground trainer in 1970. To the Wales Air Museum in 1979. Moved to Gloucester in 1989, Cirencester in 1990, White Waltham in 2015 and the Solway Museum, Carlisle in 2020.

First flew as XL449 in 1958 and delivered to the Royal Navy in 1959. Last flight to Cardiff for the Wales Aircraft Museum in 1978. Scrapped in 1996 when the museum closed. Cockpit section saved.

This aircraft crashed and burned at Oberbeuren on 12 May 1966, shortly after taking-off from Kaufbeuren Air Base en route to Nordholz Air Base, while being operated by MFG3, Marineflieger. The aircraft was destroyed and the three crew killed.

An exhibit still in a reasonable condition. Preserved in 847 NAS markings. Delivered to the Royal Navy on 19 Jan 1961. WFU and moved to HMS Gannet at Prestwick as a gate guard on 06 Dec 1978. To the museum on 13 Apr 2005.

On display at the Luftwaffenmuseum. The peculiar shaped Gannet had cranked wings and tail finlets, hardly looking aerodynamic but it served well in the RN carrier search and strike role. The aircraft was powered by a Double Mamba 101 engine with complicated gearing that drove contra-rotating four-bladed Rotol propellers. Double-folding wings in a 'Z' shape were another interesting feature. The launching hook can be seen under the leading edge. This Bundesmarine ASW Gannet was UA+110 ex-RN XG849, one of 15 AS.4s and one T.5 flown by Marinefliegergeschwader 3 (MFG-3) at Nordholz from 1958-66.
