'The Loch Doon Spitfire.' Built at Castle Bromwich. To the RAF on 20 Oct 1940. Issued to 66 Sqn at West Malling on 29 Oct 1940. To 609 (West Riding) Sqn on 24 Feb 1941 at Biggin Hill. To 266 Sqn at Wittering on 14 Jun 1941. Finally to 312 (Czech) Sqn at Martlesham Heath on 6 Jul 1941. The Sqn moved to Ayr on 19 Aug 1941. On 25 Oct 1941 the aircraft crashed into Loch Doon whilst low flying, a wing clipped the water and the pilot was killed. The plane was brought up from the loch in 1982 and has been gradually restored over the years and went on display in 2017 in its 312 (Czech) Sqn markings.

Ex N8R, SL721. Registration cancelled on 21 July 1977 on sale to the USA as N8WK. It later became N721WK, later operated by Vintage Wings of Canada as C-GVZB, and sold to Belgium in 2018 as OO-XVI.

On display at the Chicago Museum of Science & Industry. First flown in Jan 1940, this aircraft was held at maintenance units till delivered in July to No. 74 Sqn at Hornchurch. During the Battle of Britain, this aircraft scored five kills. In July 1941 it went to No. 131 Sqn, then to No. 52 OTU. It was used as a training aircraft, suffering damage and eventual storage. After being shipped to the USA, it was donated to the museum in Nov 1944.

Displayed as part of a temporary exhibition "Spies in the Skies: Second World War Aerial Reconnaissance", and wearing markings which are a hybrid of RAF and (pre-Independent) Royal Indian Air Force in reference to how this aircraft looked when on loan to 8 Sqn. RIAF circa 1946 to 1947.

Became G-BXVI on 27 December 1984, and cancelled on 29 August 2007 on sale to Sweden as SE-BIR.

Moved to the Manchester Museum of Technology later in 1982 and displayed there until 1995. It was renovated by the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society at Rochester between 1995 and 1997, after which it was displayed in the RAF Museum at Hendon. (The Storch frame is 7362M/VP546 c/n 475081.)

RAF Locking's gate guardian as 5690M from December 1961 until 1967 when it was used for static shots in the Battle of Britain film. Rebuilt to flying condition between January 1992 and November 1997 after a period in storage at St Athan, it has been in service with the RAF with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Coningsby since 14 November 1997.

Assigned to the Royal Air Force Exhibition Flight based at Abingdon. Used as a travelling exhibit. To the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight for parts recovery in 1999. Remains to Sandown for possible restoration in 2002.

In the 'Spies in the Skies' exhibition. Painted in pale pink camouflage for sunrise and sunset operations, this replica represents a Spitfire PR Mk IG, which served as a photo reconnaissance aircraft with No.1 PRU and was originally piloted by James Morgan. Morgan would go on to command 682 Squadron in Italy.
