Built in 1952 and originally named Clipper Plymouth Rock, but renamed as above after a period of being leased out. In 1967 it was converted to C-118A standard and flew with the Fuerza Aerea de Chile as 987. In 1992 it was acquired by Woods Air Fuel as N861TA and burnt out in a take-off crash from Nixon Fork Mine, AK on 2 January 1998. McIntyre labeled this as N6117C which it clearly is not. All I have to go on is 22C on the n/w door. Since N6522C and N7822C existed at the same time I compared names and since N7822C was Clipper Undaunted, I went with Clipper Hanover as its length fits that on the image better.

Flew with Alitalia from new in 1953 until sale to SAM in 1961. Transferred to the military as MM61965 and withdrawn from use by 1980.

Built 1955. ex OO-SDQ (Sabena). Sold as TR-LOX for use in the Biafra Airlift. Later to LR-LQE ( Air Gabon ). W.F.U. November 1974. Canx. 1977. This airline (with this a/c) was the first overseas airline to operate regular I.T. flights from Birmingham.

The penultimate DC-6 was delivered to JAT as YU-AFA, then the Yugoslav Air Force as Marshall Tito's personal plane. It was gifted to Zambia as GBM-110 in 1975. The Zambia Air Force retired their DC-6s in 1992 and sold the pair to NCA in 1994. NCA operated tourist charters in Southern Africa as Classic Air Travel. In April 2001, she joined Red Bull initially as N996DM and from July 2013 OE-LDM. Current as of 2025.

Built in 1954 and written off as YN-BVI on 6 October 1980 when the nose gear collapsed landing at Panama City.

Built for Northwest Airlines in 1956 and later flew with Sterling Airways in Europe. Imported by Conair in 1974, it was one of a pair converted for pollution control where chemicals were pumped out of the large pipe in the tail. Oil spill dispersal in the Gulf of Mexico was what they worked on so here probably only for some maintenance related reason. Later converted for water dropping and cancelled in August 1994 after being scrapped at Abbotsford/BC.

Built in 1957 and still retains the fleet number 681 from when with Northeast Airlines. Later became YS-39C and eventually broken up.

Originally built for Panagra Airways in 1952 and flew with PWA from February 1965 to November 1971. Last owner was Conair and scrapped with them in 1986.
