Always nice to see the EAA Museum's Sabre, welcoming us to Oshkosh. It is painted to represent F-86A 49-1134, but is actually F-86H 52-1993.

Previously stored at Ljubljana airport, this former Yugoslav air force IF-86D went to Pivka in June 2016.

Delivered as an F-86D in 1955. Converted to an F-86L in 1957. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1965 then to the museum in 1973.

ex Canadian air force 23330. To N86FN and N86JR. Now preserved with the museum.

Real identity of the aircraft is 5307 from the Portugese airforce.

Ordered by the RCAF as 19607. Delivered to the RAF as XB733 in 1953. To the Italian Air Force as 19607 in 1956. Registered as G-ATBF in 1966 and preserved at Biggin Hill. Moved to Blackpool in 1969. Stored at Plocks Farm, Much Hoole, Lancashire from 1977 then at nearby Dandy's Farm from 1983. To Duxford for auction in 1984. Not reported since. It may be the one preserved at Frankenmuth, MI.

Received at the end of 1956 and assigned to RAAF Butterworh in Malaysia in 1959, this Sabre served with 79 Sqn at Ubon, Thailand during the period 1962 to 1968. In 1963 it suffered a collision with A94-943 and was repaired in situ using the port wing of that aircraft. Formerly displayed on gate of RAAF Williamtown, it is now immaculately presented in the Fighter Town museum.

On display at Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. This Sabre was shipped to Japan in 1950 and flown to Korea . This Sabre was shipped to Japan in 1950 and flown to Korea as part of Far East Air Force (FEAF) to counter the MiG-15 threat.. It is painted in the markings of 336th FIS "Rocketeers" commanded by Lt. Col. Bruce H. Hinton, the first F-86 pilot to shoot down a MiG-15 on 17 Dec 1950. The unit along with the 334th and 335th FIS formed part of the 4th FIG which was the cream of the crop with WW2 aces. The group was to enjoy the lion's share of victories over MiG Alley, ending the brief air superiority of the MiG-15. This aircraft went to the museum in 2005.

This is thought to be the real FAH-3006, while the one in Chile at Los Cerillos is really FAH-3001.
