This 606 was withdrawn from use at Huntsville (AL) by Dec'17. The US Army placed it into its Black Hawk Exchange and Sales Team (BEST) programme. At the time this picture was made, this Black Hawk was assigned to the C/1-111th Aviation Regiment of the 77th Combat Aviation Brigade. The helicopter was allocated to BEST and offered for sale to US Gvmt agencies on 27 December 2017. It was then converted to UH-60A+ and left for the Afghan Air Force as 23296. After the Taliban took over the country in 2021, the Black Hawk was seen abandoned in Kabul. Current fate?
