Returned to Hawker Siddeley Aviation in 1971, prepared for the Singapore Air Defence Command and delivered in 1973. It was one of several Singapore Hunters that made their way to Australia at the end of their service, 538 being stored in dismantled condition for sale at Melbourne then Tocumwal, NSW until shipped to the US in 2020

Painted in the colors of the Thunderbolts, this is a new addition to IAF Museum Palam. IAF's aerobatic team formed under Wg Cdr PS Brar that was a joy to watch in its day. Thunderbolts were from No. 20 Sqn. "Lightnings," which flew the Hunter from 1959-97. No. 20 Sqn. is one of the most highly decorated IAF fighter squadrons, notable for mounting long-distance raids from Pathankot to attack Peshawar and Kohat airfields with Hunters in Dec 1971.

E-419 first flew on 24 April 1956 and served with the Royal Danish AIr Force, first with 724 Squadron at Aalborg. In was subsequently based at Karup and then Skyrdstrup. It was struck off charge on 21 November 1973 and purchased by Hawker Siddeley in April 1976, with a view to rebuild for resale. When plans to rebuild this and other former Danish Hunters were dropped, the aircraft was donated to the North East Aircraft Museum and moved there on 9 February 1977. It has since been refurbished and is now displayed under cover.

The aircraft failed to make contact with the runway and both crew ejected when it was 2,000 - 3,000ft along the runway. It crashed onto the airfield and caught fire, the crew being slightly injured.
