On May 28, 2016, Hawker Hunter T7 XL600 arrived at London International Airport in Ontario, Canada after being purchased by Graham Rawlinson and Simon Pont from an auction in England earlier in the year. Hangared at the Jet Aircraft Museum at CYXU, the Hunter was built in 1958 and served with the RAF (e.g. 65 Sqn, 4 FTS, 16 Sqn) until going to the Royal Navy as an instructional airframe in 1984. It flew under civilian ownership as G-RAXA and G-VETA and was last flown in the UK in 2014 and has not flown in Canada. It's was one of three Hawker Hunters seen at Airshow London 2024.

Seen taxying out from the static park at the 2005 Waddington airshow, which was a marvellous event this year. This aircraft was the former RAF XL600.

This became G-RAXA in August 2013 and was cancelled as sold in Canada in August 2016. It became C-FTYQ

First served 65(F) Sqn from late 1958, then Wattisham Stn Flt (during which time a co-pilot was lost when the aircraft was rolled with an unsecured ejector seat). Next to RAF Valley-based 4 FTS as seen here and finally with 16 Sqn before being de-mobbed in 12.94 as G-BVWN, changed to G-VETA and then G-RAXA. Became C-FTYQ in 5.17
