Spare fuselage for your Heron, sir? The RMAF one was delivered to them in 6.63 as FM-1054 and bought by Prinair in 9.81, being allocated N588PR but only used for spares. The other five in Prinair's multi-colour liveries had at least seen service with them but not surprisingly all were scrapped

This attractive aircraft is a new five seat type from Ukraine. It is not yet certified in the USA but was displayed at Sun n'Fun.. It can be powered by either Rotax or Lycoming engines and a turboprop version is being developed. It costs about $550,000 dollars though it was being offered with a generous discount.

A beautiful line-up, but a sad sight nevertheless… A sign of changing times, six Martin 404's withdrawn from use and parked in a remote corner of the airport. There are four PBA and two Marco Airways Martins here, from front to back: N40407, N967M, N969M, N40424, N40415 and N40413. The two PBA Cessna 402s are N68PB and N402PB. N967M was scrapped here in 1993-1994, but the other five were flown out later in 1988. Unfortunately none of these aircraft survive today.

To compliment my shot of CC-CDU in the older colours, here is a sister ship resplendent in the new scheme. Followed a very similar career path, starting out as United's N8092U in 10.68 and converted to Srs. 71F at the end of 1992. Leased by Emery in 4.00, stored at Roswell 2002 and b/u 2005

First scanned by request from the son of an Aerocondor and ARCA pilot that used to fly this DC-8. Taken under an angry sky on my way down to Colombia for the first time, this DC-8 is painted in quasi-Alitalia colours to match others in the fleet, but was actually ex-Braniff and in their red livery on acquisition in 2.80. First del to National as N875C in 4.62, becoming N812BN in 9.73. Wfu at MIA in 9.88. Had reg PR-SKY reserved but b/u by 2001

There are dull and rainy days in Miami too... This former Air Anglia / British Air Ferries / Air UK Herald (ex G-BCWE) is starting its engines for the return flight to Guatemala. It had only flown with Aerovias for three years when it was stored at Guatemala City in 1991. It was still there in 2000 in very bad shape, and although unconfirmed, it seems likely that it was scrapped a few years later.
