Delivered to SADIA in February 1966 as PP-SDL and flew in Brazil, also with Transbrasil and TABA, until May 1976 when she returned to the UK as G-BDZV with British Air Ferries. Leased for periods to Dan Air, Air UK and the Arabian Gulf Oil Company before sale to Trans Azure Aviation as F- BVFP in September 1981. Withdrawn in October 1983 and eventually sold to Aerovias in February 1987, she was once again withdrawn and stored at MGGT/GUA in 1995 and eventually scrapped there in May 2001.

Built in 1966. Ex F-WLNI, F-BNLI, F-BOFQ (Europe Aero Service) , OY-BDD (Cimber Air), N7885A Altair Airlines) and OY-BDD Cimber Air. Purchased by Aerovias in 1994 and operated wearing a little changed Cimber Air livery. The company was renamed RACSA in 1998 and the aircraft was sold to Aerolineas SOSA of Honduras in 1999 as HR-ARU. Derelict at La Ceiba by 2011

It was interesting to see Aad's photo of this aircraft at Miami a year later in a totally different livery. This photo was taken only days prior to its delivery flight to Guatemala.

Originally 53-3274 in USAF service, this Liftmaster emerged from MASDC as N50293 in 2.78, becoming C-GKFF with Conair in 6.85. Acquired by Aerovias (YV-501C) in 10.87 but wfu by 6.88. On to Aero Ejecutivos as YV-501C then 9Q-CJP of Transair, later EL-WIL. Offered for sale at Rand for $160,000 to include DC-6 c/n 45201 but scrapped 2004

There are dull and rainy days in Miami too... This former Air Anglia / British Air Ferries / Air UK Herald (ex G-BCWE) is starting its engines for the return flight to Guatemala. It had only flown with Aerovias for three years when it was stored at Guatemala City in 1991. It was still there in 2000 in very bad shape, and although unconfirmed, it seems likely that it was scrapped a few years later.

Ex Conair C-GKFF. Only flew with this Guatemalan carrier for less than a year, so I was very pleased to get it in front of my camera. It was delivered to Aerovias in October 1987, and withdrawn from service in July 1988. It later flew as YV-501C, 9Q-CJP and EL-WIL, before ending up in storage at Johannesburg-Rand, South Africa in 1997. It was broken up there in early 2004.
