The Morane-Saulnier G was a two-seat sport and racing monoplane produced in France before WW I. It was a development of the racing monoplanes designed by Léon Morane and Raymond Saulnier. Construction was of fabric-covered wood throughout, except for the undercarriage struts which were of steel tube. This unmarked example can be found with the excellent Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace at Le Bourget in Hall 1.

The REP Type K was a two-seat sport aircraft designed and produced in France by Robert Esnault-Pelterie, beginning in 1913. A Type K was exhibited at the 1913 Paris Aero Show. The Antonov A-13 was a Soviet aerobatic sailplane flown in the 1950s and 1960s. It was a small, single-seat, all-metal aircraft developed from the A-11 which could optionally be fitted with that aircraft's longer-span wings. The indoor exposition of the great Central Museum of the Air Force at Monino has some interesting aircraft on display, like this Ilyushin Il-10M. It was introduced during WW II (in 1944) and can be considered as the successor of the famous Il-2 Shturmovik. The Il-10 participated in the final stages of WW II in Europe and served for another decade with the Soviet air force. In China, the type served until 1972. This example arrived with the museum on 17 June 1959.

The Sikorsky S-22 series, named Ilya Muromets (Илья Муромец) were a series of Russian pre-WW I four-engine airliners and military heavy bombers used during World War I by the Russian Empire. The Antonov A-9 was a single-seat sailplane designed and built in the USSR. In 1952, on the basis of the A-9, A Manotskov developed an original experimental glider with flapping spring-mounted wing - the Kazhuk. It was first flown in 1953 and on 9 June 1954, it participated in the air show at Tushino airfield. Eventually only 27 were built. In March 2009, this Kazhuk was first reported with the museum at Monino.

The flying replica of the airplane on which first powered flight on Canadian soil took place on 23 February 1909. This flying replica was built by two aviation enthusiasts, Ed Lubitz and Mark Taylor, to commemorate the centennial of that event. In October 2008 they began building their own Silver Dart replica, which was finished in March 2009. It was given the serial number Mach 0.046, a callback to the speed of the original Silver Dart (Mach 0.046, or 35 miles per hour). It was flown by Ed Lubitz four times prior to its donation to the National Air Force Museum of Canada.

This model was made for the 1994 blockbuster film "True Lies" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in which his character, Harry Tasker, takes the Harrier on an aerial battle that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It was later used in Pepsi adverts and in 2019, it finished its career in film when it went out with a bang with one final role. It was removed from the desert where it had been stored and given a makeover to prepare it for its role in the film "Avengers." Several aircraft are displayed in what is essentially a motor museum.

The Norsk Luftfartsmuseum in Bodø has an interesting collection of aircraft on display, like this Pe-2fT front fuselage section. This Pe-2FT was operated by the 121 BBAP and took off with four others to attack a German convoy. It was shot at by a German fighter and was forced to make a landing at Kudalsfjellet mountain. It managed to shoot down Ju88D-1 0881055 before it landed here. The wreck of the Pe-2FT was brought down the mountain in 1989, restored and put on display in 1998.
