The Antonov A-9 was a single-seat sailplane designed and built in the USSR. In 1952, on the basis of the A-9, A Manotskov developed an original experimental glider with flapping spring-mounted wing - the Kazhuk. It was first flown in 1953 and on 9 June 1954, it participated in the air show at Tushino airfield. Eventually only 27 were built. In March 2009, this Kazhuk was first reported with the museum at Monino. This photo is copyright © Wim Sonneveld, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
