This JP first served RAFC, 3 FTS, CATCS and 6 FTS in standard training colours but by this time was unusual sight in camouflage, gained when it joined I TWU at RAF Brawdy. W/o on 22nd April 1982 when it crashed at Llandilo in Wales. Pilots, one of whom was from the Indian AF, ejected safely after throttle linkage which had been incorrectly routed during maintenance failed

Later served 17, 54, 16(R) and 6 Sqdns, undergoing conversion to GR.3 in 1999 and GR.3A in 2001. Wfu at Shawbury in April 2006 and issued to DCAE Cosford as a ground instructional airframe in March 2007
