Arriving brand new from the Grob factory at Mindelheim- Mattsies Airfield, Bavaria. Then heading transatlantic on delivery to CFB Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where it will become Grob CT-102B Astra II 102203 of 15 Wing RCAF. The third of 23 of the type which will provide the Basic Flying Training element of Canada's Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Programme.

Built in September 1942 at the Lockheed facility in Burbank, California. Retired from RCAF service in November 1947, it was subsequently purchased by the owner of a scrap metal company in Berwick, Nova Scotia. It remained in scrapyards until the late 1980s. In the meantime, many of the aircraft's parts and components were sold for scrap or for other purposes. The remains of the aircraft were subsequently acquired by the Atlantic Canada Aviation Museum and transferred to the NAFMC for restoration in 2010. Its current state is shown in the photo.
