An immaculate Millardair DC-3. Originally Air Force 43-15161 that was not retired until June 22, 1960. Sold to Aero American Corp (N87644), it was brought to Canada by Carl Millard in November 1978. Sold in the USA an N117MV in 1985 as C-117s were bought to upgrade the fleet. Eventually going to the Fuerza Aerea Colombiana (FAC 1635), it was last seen derelict at Bogotá still with the Millardair cheat line.

Former Royal Canadian Air Force wartime Expiditor flew with Millardair from 1969 until the carrier's bankruptcy in 1990. Exported to the USA in 1992 the aircraft became N40JT, but not without a fight. Modified to an Expiditor Mk 3T circa 1952, this model was not eligible for US certification. The registration was approved after the aircraft "assumed" the identity of Beech 18 Mk 3TM cn A-728 / CCA-128 for the USCAR in 1993. It's still current on the US Registry at the time of uploading.

Registered N123H while owned by International Harvester Co 1957 - 59, this Beech E18S was registered CF-LPC when transferred to International Harvester Co of Canada on April 5, 1959 . Bought by Carl Millard in April 1966, the aircraft suffered an engine fire while starting on January 19, 1974. Bought "as is" by Gilley Airways 10 days later, it was repaired enough for ferry to the USA as N81GA in June . Sold to K & K Aircraft in October 1974, it was probably used for parts as the aircraft's Certificate of Airworthiness was not renewed after 1974.

It was performing some engine runs. One thing led to another and before we knew it an hour later a friend and I were on board in the cockpit flying Totonto-Rochester (NY)-Poughkeepsie(NY)-Rochester-Toronto with Capt Jim Little and F/O Scot Taylor. We helped load and unload the cargo and enjoyed a great dinner with Jim and Scot at the end of the day. Also got to meet Carl Millard himself. A great and totally unplanned and unexpected day out.
