Sold 30 Oct.1962, later as N2403Z to Ozark Airlines and as N8329C with Mohawk Airlines and several subsequent operators, the last being Asiatic International Airways, operating out of Singapore-Seletar. While flying a local test flight out of there on 17 Sept.1975, it suffered engine failure and ditched in the water of the Straits of Johore, some 400m short of the Seletar runway, to which it was trying to return. Marks N8329C cancelled 19 Dec.1975.

While on a local flight from Southend on 16 March 1958, it collided in mid-air with Auster 5 G-APAH (also airborne from Southend) over Danbury, Essex and crashed at Butts Green, West Hanningfield, Essex and was destroyed, killing the passenger. The pilot died later from his injuries. (The Auster landed safely in a field near Sandon, Essex and is still registered today, albeit with Permit expired -4 October 2021). G-AKKI was cancelled -9 May 1958 as 'Destroyed'.

Appeared in KLM and Swissair colours to cover delayed DC-9 deliveries in 1967/1968. After British Eagles demise became one of the longest serving aircraft of Dan Air in 1970. Ladeco CC-CYF 1990, withdrawn 1994, initially preserved at Los Cerillos but later used as a police trainer.
