Damaged beyond repair 6 November 1992 after runway excursion and collision with HS.748 9N-ACW at Pokhara.

Taxi-ing for a departure from Prestwick on the then Runway 31, probably on a summer service to the Isle of Man. This colour scheme was applied to 4 HS-748s acquired when Dan-Air finally bought Skyways International out of administration in April 1972. It formed a new subsidiary company, Dan-Air Skyways, which was fully integrated into Dan-Air in 1974.

The airline was probably founded as British Independent Airways. There is very little accurate information about them, though I found one reference that they operated from 1989 to 1991 as British Independent Airways, then briefly as just Independent Airways in 1992.
