Built 1948. To KLM -5 Nov.1948, initially as PH-TED, later PH-CED. To Deutsche Flugdienst as D-BESI -9 Dec.1957, to Condor Flugdienst -1 Nov.1961. Sold 30 Oct.1962, later as N2403Z to Ozark Airlines and as N8329C with Mohawk Airlines and several subsequent operators, the last being Asiatic International Airways, operating out of Singapore-Seletar. While flying a local test flight out of there on 17 Sept.1975, it suffered engine failure and ditched in the water of the Straits of Johore, some 400m short of the Seletar runway, to which it was trying to return. Marks N8329C cancelled 19 Dec.1975.

Six days after the photo, N8329C ditched into the Straits of Johore 400m short of Seletar after one engine failed and the other started cutting out. It was on a test flight.

"Gerard Terborch" served KLM from November 1948 until sale in December 1957. It is operating the Schiphol-Ringway-Dublin (Collinstown) and return scheduled service and is parked in front of the 1940-built Hangar No.6.
