In its infancy, Ryanair operated this Convair on lease from Partnair briefly on services to Eire. Shame their aircraft aren't quite so interesting nowadays! Originally a KLM CV-340 which later flew with Mohawk and Lake Central who had her converted to 580 before becoming Allegheny. After the Norwegian phase, sold as C-FKFL and in 2017 current with Air Freight NZ (ZK-KFH)

The short-lived Court Line leased this Austral 1-11 (LV-JNR) for the summer of 1971. Dbr after an aborted take-off due to loss of power from no.1 engine after lift-off at Bahía Blanca, Argentina on 4 December 1973. The 1-11 was slowed down by Argentine Navy arresting cables (for A-4 aircraft), but these broke, damaging the aircraft and puncturing a fuel tank, the fuel being ignited by friction sparks. Looking magnificent after preparation by Monarch/Airline Engineering for Aerocaribbean, this was their second of three Britannias, joining CU-T669 (transferred from Cubana as CU-T114). Ex RAF XM496 and Afrek G-BDUP, operated until the airline's final Brit flight on 22.3.90, a 3-engine ferry from Guayaquil to Havana after diversion en-route from Lima. To Transair as 9Q-CJH and famously made the last ever Britannia flight, back to the UK on 14.10.97 as EL-WXA, now beautifully restored as XM496 at Kemble
