Originally delivered to the US Army Air Force as 42-55883 on November 24, 1942, this Lodestar possibly went to Mexico (XB-HOD?) in 1947. Becthel Corp registered it N9990F in June 1953, quickly changing to N220B by August . Later registered N221B in June 1961, the big twin was sold to Photo Air Laurentide as CF-SYV in March 1966. Pictured still wearing Becthel's colors with a cowling from Montreal based charter operator Execaire, it was sold in the USA in March 1977 to become N96334. The aircraft is current with IAT Ltd, airworthy / stored at Richmond Executive Airport (KFCI) in Virginia.

First delivered to TEAL Tasman Empire Airways (ZK-TEB "Atarau") in December 1959. The airline, renamed Air New Zealand in 1865, sold it to California Airmotive (N33506) in 1972. Converted to a L-188C, Nordair added it to their fleet in September 1972. Stored in July 1976, the aircraft was sold via American Jet Industries to Reeve Aleutian Airways in April 1978 (N178RV). Leased to Northwest Territorial Airways (first as N178RV, later C-GNWC) 1986 - 1988. Atlantic Airlines bought and ferried it to Coventry where it was stored until 2010. Buffalo Airways acquired it in 2010 registered C-FIJX.

The only XC-12 ever built. Built by the Capelis Safety Airplane Company, it was registered as NX12762 on 12 Jan 1933, and first flew in the same year. It failed to attract commercial interest, and following a minor accident on 15 Apr 1938 the aircraft was permanently grounded, its registration cancelled in Aug 1938. It was acquired by RKO Studios and its unusual cockpit design was modified to look more like a DC-3. The aircraft was then used as a prop in many movies, most notably in Five Came Back (1939) and The Flying Tigers (1942). It was eventually scrapped circa 1950.
