Photographer: Clive Head. K64 slide scan. Built 1958 for BEA. BKS 1968, renamed Northeast 1970, merged into British Airways 1974. BAF 1981, leased to Virgin 1988 until 1990. Renamed British World 1993, retired 1997. Sold 1999 as 3C-PBH, becoming 3C-JAP and 9Q-CON 2004 . Withdrawn Kinshasa and scrapped 2008. Shortened "British" titles were introduced in 1987 after British Airways had dropped these in favour of the Landor scheme.
