Photographer: Clive Head. K64 slide scan. Built 1968 as PP-SDN for Sadia, renamed Transbrasil 1972. BMA G-BAVX 1973, BAF 1977. Several leases to Nile Valley, Air Algerie, Libyan Arab, AGOCO. Painted for Aero Turbo Panama 1983 but deal fell through. From 1984 leased to Dan Air, Janus Airways and Euroair. Channel Express G-DGLG 1991, scrapped Exeter 1996. Delivered to Mackey International as N899JM on October 10, 1968. Leased by Cascade Airways in July 1977, it was bought by the airline a year later. Sold to Southern Frontier Airlines in November 1983, it's pictured leased by Time Air 1985 - 88. They also bought the airliner off lease. Sold to Contact Air in June 1991, it was damaged beyond repair on December 6, 1996 landing at Fort Chipewyan, AB. The right propeller struck the runway, bending the engine nacelle down and twisting the wing.

"Golf Oscar" flew its last service for Aer Turas on 3 January 1986 so it was already out of service when this image was taken in March of that year. It was later towed to Dublin's North Apron and picked clean of useful parts to support the operation of its successor, EI-BRP. Its carcass was broken up there in December 1989. Originally CS-TLC with TAP - Air Portugal, this aircraft flew the airline's last Super Constellation flight on April 13, 1967. Sold and registered 5T-TAF for work in the humanitarian Biafrian airlift, the registration turned out to be fake. The aircraft was impounded in Malta with a load of aircraft tires in 1968. It was sold and towed off the airport in 1972, turned into a restaurant and later a coffee bar. Sadly, It was burned by vandals in 1997. Four engines and cowlings with assorted smaller parts were recovered for the Malta Aviation Museum Foundation.
