Joining Finnair from new in 9.64, this Caravelle was sold to EAS as F-BJTU in 1.81 then to Global Colombia as HK-3955X. I saw it land after a beat-up at Villavicencio in Jan 1995 - an amazing sight made even more memorable by the earthquake that happened soon after! Derelict at BOG by 9.97 and presumed b/u

Wardair's "Cy Becker" delivered in 4.66 was their first jet, regularly being used on Transatlantic services, 707s with non-stop capability not following until 1968. Love that smoke. Sold to Cruzeiro as PP-CJI in 5.73 then to Colombia as HK-3770, being used successively by Avesca, Transapel, Aerocor, Aerocar and Satena. Now used as a restaurant at El Dorado airport in fake Army Aviation colours

Southend attracted more than its fair share of exotic propliners seeking the attentions of ATEL and this C-54 was no exception. Of 1944 vintage, she went to KLM in 1945 and France's TAI in 1948. Bought by Air Afrique 1966 and sold to Air Comores after the Southend overhaul as F-OCSV. Lastly to SOACO as TR-LUT in 1975 and wfu two years later, then broken up

Air Spain sticks in my memory for two good reasons, one that they flew Britannias, the other that they had this striking colour scheme. This early DC-8 began life in 1.60 with Eastern as N8601 and was one of six acquired from them by Air Spain from 1.71. After merger talks with Aviaco broke down, the airline ceased operations in 1.75 and this aircraft was scrapped by AJI at Van Nuys in 1977 as N48CA
