The days of the Canadian Air Force Caribous were numbered by 1970. 5303 was the first CC-108 delivered August 8, 1960. As the prototype Caribou, it first flew as CF-KTK-X on July 30, 1958 before delivery to the RCAF. Loaned back to DHC in 1961 and modified with turbo-prop engines for DHC-5 Buffalo development, it was returned to piston power before re-delivery in 1964. Replaced by CC-115 Buffalos delivered in 1970, the Caribous were retired, this one was SOC June 15, 1971. To the Tanzanian Air Force (JW9011), it was later registered 5H-AAC. Sold as N1016N in 1979, it was later scrapped.

Ex X9407, G-AFFD. Used for many years at Redhill by Chelsea College for engineering training. It is now (2024) under restoration to flying condition in military marks. (The Prince in the background is F-BJAI. Whatever happened to it?)

Ex BEA, and now in store (as a shell) at The Helicopter Museum, Weston-super-Mare.

The Deutsche Versuchsanstalt für Luftfahrt was an aeronautical research and development institute founded in 1912. In 1969 it was merged into the Deutsches Forschungs- und Versuchsanstalt für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DFVLR).

Ex N6788, operated by Philips of Endhoven. Later sold in the USA, where it was registered as N98HB on 8 January 1981. That registration was cancelled on 20 October 2015 as exported to Indonesia.

Ex USAAF 44-76488, RAF KN397. Taken from the great vantage point at the end of the southerly pier with a nice selection of aircraft in the background. It was allocated F-BSGV in June 1981 but this was not taken up and it remains in the UK.
