Withdrawn from use at Biggin Hill on 16 February 1979. the registration eventually being cancelled by the CAA on 24 May 1982. In 2022 it is thought to still exist in storage at Amen Corner, Binfield, Berkshire, Berkshire.

Ex N7153Y. Still active in Sweden in 2021, sadly not in an authentic Piper colour scheme.

Ex F-BKSA. Re-registered as G-OBAN on 20 February 1992, and still current in 2022 albeit with CofA expired on 16 April 2018.

At one time with the FAA as P6411, this aircraft had been stored at Plymouth/Roborough for some years, and for a short time was owned by the CFI of Plymouth Aero Club. It is seen here just prior to leaving for the Historic Aircraft Museum, Southend. I understand that it was damaged beyond repair in a gale at Southend on 5 September 1967, having been repainted in military marks. The registration was eventually cancelled on 6 July 1973 as permanently withdrawn from use.

An early 310 built in 1957. Visible in this view is the eductor-tube type exhaust system which used the venturi effect to accelerate hot gasses. This caused a distinctive whistling noise which was noticeable when they flew overhead at low altitude. This one became EC-LNY and cancelled in September 2020.

In the Morton Air Service livery and parked outside their hangar. It flew with MAS as G-AKJR until export to Pakistan in April 1953. In June 1965 it was restored to MAS (although obviously not repainted) until September 1967 when the C of R was cancelled. Final chapter: broken up at Southend in August 1968.

Bought by Swearingen Aircraft Inc. and cancelled on 25 November 1969. Interestingly, Swearingen built the Excalibur and then piston SA26 Merlin using Queen Air and Twin Bonanza components, so this airframe could have been cannibalized in that production run.

A few months after TAA sold its sole DC-6, DC-6A VH-TAD, it was back again at Sydney with new owner TMA. International cargo and passenger charters into Australia were severely restricted. But TMA appeared regularly exercising the long-standing air services agreement between Lebanon and Australia. Qantas operated to Beirut "in association" with BOAC, which actually operated the flights in an early version of code sharing. MEA did not fly to Australia.

VH-FNK at Sydney airport on a hazy morning. It was delivered to Ansett in 1965 and was leased, then sold to Air Niugini after the new nation of Papua New Guinea created its own national airline. -FNK became P2-ANL in 1976.
