Delivered to BOAC on 2nd April 1965. Merged into British Airways in April 1974. Carried out last scheduled service for the VC10 on 29th March 1981. Ferried to RAF Brize Norton for storage 1st April 1981. Allocated serial ZD234. Later allocated maintenance serial 8700M. The nose section was used as the basis for the K3 tanker simulator.
