First flown 20-Dec-1963 and used by BOAC acceptance trials. This was BOAC's eight Standard VC10 and the first with full specifications ready for passenger service when delivered 22-Apr-1964. It was the first VC10 to carry the "Golden Speedbird" livery. To Gulf Air 11-Mar-1974, rew-registered A4O-VI01-OCt-1975. To RAF for tanker conversion 17-Apr-1978 as ZA142. First flown as VC10 K.2 18-Mar-1984. Flew the last RAF VC10 K.2 flight Brize Norton to St. Athan 27-Mar-2001. Broken up by May 2004. Ex-G-ARVC. To A4O-VC with Gulf Air October 1975. WFU December 1977 and ferried to Stansted for storage. Sold to RAF for conversion to Type 1112 K2 tanker. Ferried Stansted to Filton 29th March 1978. Delivered to 101 Squadron as ZA144 'E' 3rd February 1984. WFU August 2000 and ferried to St Athan for scrapping.

Delivered to BOAC in June 1964. Leased to Gulf Air from June 1974 becoming A40-VG in October 1975. To the RAF as ZD141 in 1978 for conversion to a tanker at Filton. First flight after conversion in 1982. Withdrawn from use at St.Athan in July 1999 and scrapped in 2001.

Leased to Nigeria Airways in BOAC livery with Nigeria Airways stickers during 1966. Returned to BOAC and sold to Nigeria Airways in September 1966. B.O.A.C.'s VC-10, the latest in high-speed jetliners, provides a new silhouette in the sky with its "clean" aerodynamic design, rear mounted engines and space age tail unit..." First flew 8 November 1962, delivered 8 December 1964. Nigeria Airways 29 September 1969, crashed 20 November 1969 on approach to Lagos.

Date in the mid-seventies, no idea, faded on slide mount. Aircraft taxiing for departure. Taken from the much favoured carpark now replaced with Cargo Warehouses.

In interim BOAC/British Airways colours following the amalgamation of BEA and BOAC as British Airways on 31st March 1974. Taken out of service around a month or so after this picture was taken in October 1974 and stored at Heathrow. Never acquired full British Airways colours. Broken up at Heathrow in September 1976.

Preserved in the museum though it was broken up in 2006 with only the fuselage moved to Brooklands for preservation.
