Negative from FNG archive. On 18 September 1968 1.FC Nürnberg was hosting Ajax Amsterdam in the first round of the European Cup of the National Champions. An early lead by Nürnberg was compensated late in the 80th minute by the legendary Johan Cruyff thus ending the match in a draw. A large followership of Dutch fans was flown in mostly on Martinair and Transavia aircraft while a BIAS DC-6 is seen under tow in the background. Security standards and dress code reflect a bygone time.

This '84 F/A-18A was used by the USNFDS up to 21 Apr'07. During the final minutes of the air show over MCAS Beaufort (SC), the pilots were doing a maneuver which involved all 6 Hornets joining to form a Delta triangle. 162897 did not rejoin and crashed, eight people on the ground got injured and the pilot, Lt.Cmdr. Kevin "Kojak" Davis (Blue Angels #6), was killed. The mishap was caused by a failure to perform a proper Anti-G Straining Maneuver, resulting in the pilot's suffering from possible physiological effects that contributed to his loss of situational awareness of his rate of descent.

Delivered new to SAS in August 2002. Stored Copenhagen between March 2020 and August 2021, when ferried to Madrid, for further storage. Returned to service in May 2022.
