Its take-off run at the start of a spectacular demonstration over the IAT 1995. This 62130 was first reported in operational duty in early 1980. First assigned to 2°Gruppo TM as a transported, but after some ten years moved to the Italian Experimental Flight Regiment (Reparto Sperimentale di Volo). It returned as a transported to 2°Gruppo TM in 1997. It was first reported as stored at Pisa in late 1999, returned to service in 2000 but then withdrawn from use on civil cargo ramp at Pisa in early 2001. It was last reported there in 2004, current status?

The triple two was first noted as 48-89 with 98°Gruppo in mid-1980. It became 46-89 with Aeritalia at Napoli in 1986 and was moved to the Italian Experimental Flight Regiment (Reparto Sperimentale di Volo) as RS-34 in late 1986. Swapped code to RS-46 in early 1989 (as pictured). Sadly, the G222 crashed as such on 22 August 1991. It crashed near San Maria Infante (Latina, Italy) folowing a propable left-engine fire. The four crew did not survive.

The first production C-27J was shown at the IAT 2000. The aircraft (test serial CSX62216) was sold to Lithuanian Air Force as 06. It was first reported as such at the manufacturers plant in Torino-Caselle (Italy) on 18 December 2006. The Spartan was delivered to the Lithuanian Transporto Eskader at Siauliai air base on 27 December 2006.

This is the first G222 in the pre-series, it was rolled out at Torino-Caselle on 21 Nov'75. It made its first flight on 23 Dec'75. The aircraft was used for all kinds of trails, included as G222-SAMA (waterbomber) and ATR42 icing tests, but also as a sales demonstration aircraft. After delivery to the Aeronautica Militare it was assigned to the Experimental Flight Regiment (Reparto Sperimentale di Volo) from 1988 onwards. Initially carried code RS-36, but this was changed to RS-45 from Jul'89. Withdrawn from service on 7 Jul'99. Stored at Pratica di Mare, last noted there in May 2007. Status?

The 45th Tactical Reconnaissance Training Squadron (TRTS) trained RF-4C pilots. The squadron was inactivated on 30 September 1989, the RF-4C was being withdrawn from its inventory. The squadron was reactivated at Offutt AFB (NB) as the 45th Reconnaissance Squadron on 1 July 1994 and is currently operating secretive RC-135 Cobra Ball aircraft. After the inactivation of the 45th TRTS, this 397 was transferered to the 196th Reconnaissance Squadron at Fresno. It was retired and moved to Nellis AFB (NV) in August 1993 and served from that moment as an instructional airframe. Current status?

First noted with 2°Gruppo TM 46ª Brigata Aerea in July 1979, then moved to 98°Gruppo TM/46ªBrigata Aerea in late 1999. Seen stored at homebase Pisa-San Giusto from May 2003. Then noted as C-27A with serial 84025 for the Afghan National Army Corps (ANA-AC). The ANA-AC acquired eighteen former Aeronautica Militare G222s. In late 2012, the USAF decided to withdraw the Afghan C-27A fleet from service due to constant availability problems. C-27A 84025 arrived at Ramstein air base (Germany) in March 2013. Current status uknown.

Tough to see its serial due to its lizard / European I colour scheme, but 69-0357 is marked with "67TRW" (Tactical Reconnaissance Wing) on its tail. The recce Phantom was retired to AMARC on 28 September 1992 and received inventory code FP896. The aircraft was selected for the QRF-4C program and was moved on 24 March 2010 to BAE Systems, Mojave (CA) for conversion. It received 82nd ATRS code AF-379 and was shot down as a drone on 13 March 2012.

Technicians at work, no idea what kind of system is attached to station eight (Underneath the guy with the white shirt). 66-8813 was retired from operational service on 28 March 1989 when it arrived at AMARC. It received inventory code FP232 up to 12 August 1998. It was sold to Fritz Enterprises, Taylor (MI) but was scrapped at Tucson (AZ). The 704th "Outlaws" flew Phantoms from 1981 to 1991 and was upgraded to F-16A/Bs in July 1991 and to the F-16C/D in 1994. The squadron was inactivated in 1996.

This 2500th F-4 built was retired as an Aircraft Battle Damaged Repair trainer at Bergstrom on 13 October 1991. Afterwards it was most probably fully scrapped.

Parked at its flightline, apparently getting some maintenance to its APQ-109 fire control and search radar. 762 was retired from operational service on 20 October 1988 when it arrived at AMARC. It received inventory code FP168 up to 21 September 1998. It was sold to Fritz Enterprises, Taylor (MI) but was scrapped at Tucson (AZ).

This Herc was built as a L100-20, received Lockheed test registration N9751S in Oct'68. A month later, Air America accepted the aircraft as N923SJ. In Jul'70, Southern Air Transport took over the aircraft. In Jan'74, it was registered with Saturn Air as N23ST and moved two years later to Trans-International Airlines Inc keeping its registration N23ST. In Oct'87, the Herc was moved to Southern Air Transport as again N923SJ. That registration was cancelled in Jul'98 when it was sold to Transafrik International as S9-CAV. Leased to the United Nations. In May'90 it became 5X-TUA with Transafrik.

This is in fact 56-3000, but painted with the false serial 0-53000 instead of 63000 or 0-63000.

This workhorse flew first from Lockheed Martin Marietta (GA) on 3 March 2010 and was delivered CFB Trenton (Ontario) to the Royal Canadian Air Force on 4 June 2010. Although all Canadian CC-130s used in a pool within 8 Wing, 436 Transport Squadron "Elephant" was its first user. The other 8 Wing squadron which is using the CC-130J is 426 Transport Training Squadron "Thunderbird". The Herc flew arrived at Eindhoven this day for a short (refueling) stop while on its way to Poland.

Departing Eindhoven (just when a cloud covers the sun...) while temporary operating from this airbase. This Cameri FACO (Italy) built Lightning II was delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 11 January 2024 and was only recently modified with the rare dragchute housing in between the vertical stabilo's.

Unmarked UH-60A 60 leading a line of three. At the time this picture was made, this Alpha was assigned to the 1-111th Avn Reg/77th CAB. The latter was deployed to support OIR, the fight against terrorism in Iraq and Syria. Camp Buehring in Kuwait is used for maintenance of the helicopters as well as rest and R&R for the crew. This 606 was withdrawn from use at Huntsville (AL) by Dec'17. The US Army placed it into its Black Hawk Exchange and Sales Team (BEST) programme. It was then converted to UH-60A+ and left for the Afghan Air Force as 23607. After the Taliban took over the country in 2021,

Arriving with a four star general at Arifjan. Within the bounderies of the massive base (that housed the command of the Combinded Joint Task Force of Operation Inherent Resolve) is Patton Army Heliport (OK2A). The 168 was built by Sikorsky as a UH-60A and delivred to the US Army in the early 199s. It was later converted to UH-60L and here seen, most likely assigned to the A/1-111th AVN of the Puerto Rico ARNG, but still showed the outlines of the State of its previous owner, the Kentucky ARNG.

One of the last delivered F-35s (by Aug'25) to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) is this 041. It arrived in the Netherlands on 6 Mar'25 and received only recently - as the first Dutch F-35A - a 312 Squadron marking. In 1951, the 312 was established. A year later it flew with 25 Thunderjets. In 1956, 312 Squadron started the conversion to the Thunderstreak. In the period from Oct'65 to early '66, the F-104G Starfighter was introduced. On 27 Jul'84, the first F-16s for 312 arrived. They flew up to Sep'24. In Oct'24, the F-35 took over the task. 312 is nicknamed Bonzo.

This old Alpha shows manufacturer date November 1980 at its construction number plate. At the time this picture was made, this Black Hawk was assigned to the C/1-111th Aviation Regiment of the 77th Combat Aviation Brigade. The helicopter was allocated to BEST and offered for sale to US Gvmt agencies on 27 December 2017. It was then converted to UH-60A+ and left for the Afghan Air Force as 23296. After the Taliban took over the country in 2021, the Black Hawk was seen abandoned in Kabul. Current fate?
