This old Alpha shows manufacturer date November 1980 at its construction number plate. At the time this picture was made, this Black Hawk was assigned to the C/1-111th Aviation Regiment of the 77th Combat Aviation Brigade. The helicopter was allocated to BEST and offered for sale to US Gvmt agencies on 27 December 2017. It was then converted to UH-60A+ and left for the Afghan Air Force as 23296. After the Taliban took over the country in 2021, the Black Hawk was seen abandoned in Kabul. Current fate?

Support aircraft for the Red Arrows display on Southend Seafront. Scrapped in 2004. Cessna F150L G-BAZR (msn 0957) in foreground which crashed into a tree at Rotherwell near Grimsby on 6th April 1978.

Wokka-ing past on arrival for static display at the Wide Bay International Airshow. This helicopter was built as a UH-1H and allocated USAF serial 72-21597 for administrative purposes. Delivered to the RAAF in November 1973 and served with 5 Squadron. Transferred to the Australian Army in the late 1980s, along with most of the RAAF's helicopters.
