With its pilots in the cockpit, the RF-4C is ready for a ride to the runway of its Bergstrom, "Home of Tactical Air Command's Reconnaissance" as we have to believe the tower. This RF-4C was stored at AMARC on 25 July 1991 and received inventory code FP728. The aircraft was moved to HVF West, Tucson (AZ) for scrap on 8 September 2017.

Left for the 192nd Reconnaissance Squadron at Reno (NV) after service at Bergstrom in 1991. Was then stored at AMARC from 26 May 1995. The recce Spook received inventory code FP974. It was moved to HVF West, Tucson (AZ) on 13 January 2017 for scrap. Clearly visible on the left wing of this European One colored RF-4C is the AN/ALQ-131 Electronic Counter Measures pod.

After service at the home of TAC Recce, Bergstrom this RF-4C wasa transferred to the 192nd TRS at Reno (NV). Then it is was stored at AMARC with inventory code FP728 from 29 April 1993 onwards. It was moved to HVF West, Tucson (AZ) for scrap on 30 January 2014.

The 45th Tactical Reconnaissance Training Squadron (TRTS) trained RF-4C pilots. The squadron was inactivated on 30 September 1989, the RF-4C was being withdrawn from its inventory. The squadron was reactivated at Offutt AFB (NB) as the 45th Reconnaissance Squadron on 1 July 1994 and is currently operating secretive RC-135 Cobra Ball aircraft. After the inactivation of the 45th TRTS, this 397 was transferered to the 196th Reconnaissance Squadron at Fresno. It was retired and moved to Nellis AFB (NV) in August 1993 and served from that moment as an instructional airframe. Current status?

Tough to see its serial due to its lizard / European I colour scheme, but 69-0357 is marked with "67TRW" (Tactical Reconnaissance Wing) on its tail. The recce Phantom was retired to AMARC on 28 September 1992 and received inventory code FP896. The aircraft was selected for the QRF-4C program and was moved on 24 March 2010 to BAE Systems, Mojave (CA) for conversion. It received 82nd ATRS code AF-379 and was shot down as a drone on 13 March 2012.

Technicians at work, no idea what kind of system is attached to station eight (Underneath the guy with the white shirt). 66-8813 was retired from operational service on 28 March 1989 when it arrived at AMARC. It received inventory code FP232 up to 12 August 1998. It was sold to Fritz Enterprises, Taylor (MI) but was scrapped at Tucson (AZ). The 704th "Outlaws" flew Phantoms from 1981 to 1991 and was upgraded to F-16A/Bs in July 1991 and to the F-16C/D in 1994. The squadron was inactivated in 1996.

This 2500th F-4 built was retired as an Aircraft Battle Damaged Repair trainer at Bergstrom on 13 October 1991. Afterwards it was most probably fully scrapped.

Parked at its flightline, apparently getting some maintenance to its APQ-109 fire control and search radar. 762 was retired from operational service on 20 October 1988 when it arrived at AMARC. It received inventory code FP168 up to 21 September 1998. It was sold to Fritz Enterprises, Taylor (MI) but was scrapped at Tucson (AZ).

to AMARC 13 October 1989, got inventory code FP341 assigned. Moved for scrap to HVF West, Tucson (AZ) 9 August 2017. Seen here in its Egypt One color scheme at the huge platform of Bergstrom. In the back ground a lizard colored RF-4C of the 91st TRS is seen, while in the far distance a likewise camouflaged A-10A (serial 82-0664/MB of the 353rd TFS) with huge fuel tanks is parked. That Thunderbolt was in a cross country transit.

A black nose Egypt One camouflaged F-4D. The aircraft was moved to AMARC on 17 October 1988. After some ten years of storage, the F-4D was sold to Fritz Enterprises, Taylor (MI) and sadly scrapped with HVF West, Tucson (AZ). It departed AMARC on 21 September 1998.

to AMARC on 6 October 1988, received inventory code PP164. The F-4D was moved from storage on 26 August 1998 and transported to Avon Park (FL) to act as a range target. Sadly never seen again.

to AMARC 1 April 1991, got inventory code FP637 assigned. Moved for scrap to HVF West, Tucson (AZ) 8 August 2017

This 704th Tactical Fighter Squadron / 924th Tactical Fighter Group F-4D was based at Bergstrom AFB (TX) and pictured here at its homebase platform. The F-4D was moved to AMARC on 9 March 1989 and received inventory code FP223. It was registered to Fritz Enterprises, Taylor (MI) on 12 August 1998, but was scrapped at Tucson (AZ).

to 309th AMARG with inventory code FP298 on 31 August 1989, after storage it was moved for scrap to HVF West, Tucson (AZ) on 25 August 2015.

Written off on 15 May 1990 during a crash landing while assigned to the 38th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron at Zweibrucken air base in Germany.

A former 52nd TFW Spangdahlem F-4D was transferred to the 704th TFS "Outlaws" of the Air Force Reserve (AFRes) and seen here at the ramp of its homebase. The aircraft was sold as 68-798 in a ramp-to-ramp deal to the Republic of Korea Air Force (RoKAF) on 3 February 1989.

This Eagle was built was TF-15A and delivered to the USAF in 1976. It flew with several units (1st TFW with tailcode FF and 58th TFTW/LA) before is was redesignated to F-15B. It was then transferred to the 57th TTW that became 57th FWW/WA before it was assigned to the 48th FIS at Langley AFB (VA) from late 1982. The Eagle arrived at Tyndall by late 1984 and received tailcode TY within 2nd TFTS of the 325th TTW. From April 1992 the F-15B flew with the 2nd TFS of 325th FW. Its career ended at AMARC hen it arrived in March 1993 with inventory code FH0056. The dual seater was scrapped by Feb'09.

On 26 September 1998, NAS Dallas was decommissioned and units were transferred to NAS JRB Fort Worth, the former Carswell AFB. NAS Dallas had several Skyhawks in service, assigned to the Operations Maintenance Detachment (OMD) in an adversary role, mainly in support of the Naval Air Reserve. The Skyhawks were instrumental in training and development of Air Combat Manoeuvring (ACM) for the NAS Dallas based VF-201 and VF-202, both Tomcat squadrons.
