Air Atonabee was acquired by Victor Pappalardo in 1984 and renamed City Express. A pair of DHC Dash 7's (including C-GGXS, ex-4X-AHB) from Arkia Israel Airlines launched commuter service between Toronto Island Airport (YTZ), Ottawa (YOW) and Montreal (YUL). City Express ceased operations in Feb. 1991, but C-GGXS went to Pappalardo's Trans Capital Airlines and later flew for the UN. It was one of seven Trans Capital Dash 7s sold to Air Tindi in March 2021. At least five Dash 7s are still parked at YTZ (2 x Trans Capital & 3 x Air Tindi) near the relocated 1939 airport terminal building.

Seen at the Red Lake town docks while participating in the 1995 Red Lake Diamond Jubilee Norseman Festival. Rebuilt in 2004 and repainted in dark colours. Subsequently converted to a wheeled land-based version. Later did a flyby at a Norseman Festival. Was attempting a flight across the country from its base at Strathmore, Alberta. Unfortunately this effort was terminated at Red Lake Airport, where it was parked. Effectively entered open storage there, where it still sits, now for sale, as recently as late 2021.

This was my first ever sight of a Norseman ! Seen here at Art Latto Air Service's original operating base on Eady Lake, just beside Highway 599, on the west side of the road a few miles south of the town of Savant Lake. Note the lucky Garfield stuffed toy clinging grimly to the rear cabin window. Had my first floatplane flight an hour later, in the right hand seat, courtesy of the owner, Art himself. Wonderful !!

Struck off strength by the Royal Canadian Air Force circa 1966, this Beech 18 went to Bradley Air Services as CF-SUQ. Pictured with Capital Air Surveys from about 1970, it was one of several Beech 18s used for mapping and surveys. Returning from a contract in North Africa, the aircraft was impounded in Prestwick and the Canadian registration cancelled in 1981. Registered G-BKGM, the aircraft flew with RAF markings for decades, but is currently flying with Bristol Airways titles in a blue color scheme.
