One of the oldest operational gliders in Canada, this Laister Kauffman LK-10A glider was built in 1943 and was one of 150 built inSt Louis, Missouri for the wartime United States Army Air Corps' glider pilot training program. The aircraft was imported to Canada in 1947 and was part of the fleet of the Rideau Gliding Club in Kingston, Ontario from 1967 to 1990 and later acquired by current owner Herman Ten Cate in February 1995.

One of the oldest operational gliders in Canada, this Laister Kauffman LK-10A glider was built in 1943 and was one of 150 built inSt Louis, Missouri for the wartime United States Army Air Corps' glider pilot training program.
