Built as A-26C S/N 44-35640. Sold surplus in 1957 and used as the prototype for the Smith Tempo II executive modification of the A-26. Only one other Tempo II was built. At the time slide was taken it was owned by University of Nevada (from 1968 to 1980) for their Desert Research Institute. Crashed on 2 March 1980 after icing up while on a weather research flight over the Sierra Nevada mountains with no survivors.

This early DC-10 served with United Airlines 1971 - 1994. Bought by Federal Express in 1997, the aircraft remained in storage until converted to a MD-10-10F (N368FE) in 1999. Carrying cargo for another twenty years, the freighter completed it's last revenue flight on February 15, 2020 and went to Victorville, CA for storage.

Became N9150 in 1968 and briefly put on display at Castle Air Museum in 1982, as seen here (left side was in US Navy markings). Traded out in Dec 1984 and based at Santa Monica, CA by 1987. To Thermco Aviation of Van Nuys, CA in 1994 as N26BK and although not flown in many years it was still current with them by 2021.
