British United's Dakota 4 is being serviced in front of the new terminal, opened in November 1962. KLM's Viscount 803 PH-VIF is parked alongside the international pier whilst operating the AMS-MAN-DUB schedule.

Allocated U.S. serial number 44-76613 March 26, 1945 Transferred to the R.A.F. under lend / lease agreement at Montreal as KN470 - March 28, 1945 Returned to U.S.A.A.F. as 44-76613 - May 13, 1947 it became H-717 with the Pakistan Air Force on the 25th of November in 1947.Entered onto the British Aircraft Register as G-ANMA - January 11, 1954 Sold to MacRobertson Miller Aviation Entered onto the Australian Aircraft Register as VH-MML - April 20, 1954. It was sold to Air Niugini in January 1974 and registered P2-MML. it was also operated by Bush Pilots. Dick Lang Safaris, Dakota National Air.

Ex RAF Dakota IV KK151 operated December 1944 until March 1952. Flown by many civil operators including BUIA frm November 1968 until April 1973. Still operational in 2013 at age 68 with 42,780 flying hours as at 31.12.11.

C-47B ex 43-16351 operated by Rio Negro from 1968 and then stored at San Justo from 1977 to 1986. Fate not known.

This aircraft is seen at the Flying Legends Airshow as it departs for a flypast over central London to commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War. It is carrying the livery and titles of the Royal Air Force Transport Command.

In 2007 this sad fuselage minus its cockpit section was donated by owners Aces High to the Wings Museum in Balcombe. They restored it and fitted it with the cockpit section from c/n 19074, and by 2010 this composite fuselage had been placed on display there, painted as 42-100766 "Lilly Bell II".

Previously G-AMSV the aircraft is under restoration and, as shown by the markings it does have, for the Indian Airforce Historic flight

North American Airlines was formed out of Air Miami/Shawnee Airlines in 1981 and inherited a Riley Heron and a pair of C-47s. This one was previously N11BC and was sold to Mexico as XA-NAD in 1984, last being seen at Tepic, but is no longer thought to be extant

This Dakota was delivered to the RAF in Canada in 1945 and retained its serial when passed to the Hellenic AF in 6.49. Operated by 355 Mira on photo/survey work (note bumps and extra fittings) until making its last flight on 22.4.03, now stored at Thessaloniki (Mikra AB)

D-CXXX was formerly G-AMPZ so it is certainly not the first time she has sat alongside Air Atlantique sister-ship G-AMPY!

This ex RAF Dakota 4 served Starways of Liverpool between March 1952 and sale in 1964. It has just brought a load of Manchester City football supporters back from RAF Bovingdon after attending the 1955 FA Cup Final.
