This magnificent aircraft is a part of the RAF Museum Cosford Collection

Overview of the short-lived Historic Air Museum just after takeoff on SEN's r/w 24 in an Auster. The Beverley XB261 was, sadly, broken up in 4.89 well after the HAM went under, but the Lincoln (G-APRJ/RF342) survives in a dismantled state, partly in Australia. Also visible are Mitchell N9089Z (painted as 'HD368', now dismantled at Booker), Harvard LN-BNM (now in the RAF Museum at Hendon in its original RAF colours as FE905) and Drover G-APXX (now also stored at Booker)

Ordered for the Royal Air Force as RE351, but diverted to Argentina. The aircraft is actually B-004 but is marked B-010. Displayed at the now closed Aeroparque museum location.

Built by Armstrong Whitworth at Coventry (Baginton) in 1946. Latterly served 151 Squadron RAF Signals Command based at RAF Watton. Grounded in 1963 as 8376M. Now preserved at the Cosford museum.

Avro Lincoln B.2 coded 'K' of 151 Squadron RAF Signals Command previously based at RAF Watton. At RAF Shawbury for scrapping, together with another aircraft from the same unit.

Built by Armstrong Whitworth at Baginton in 1950. Served only the RAE. Visiting Blackbushe from Farnborough.

One of 200 Lincolns built by Armstrong Whitworth at Coventry (Baginton) during 1945/47. RF342 served as an icing research aircraft - at this time with Napiers.

One of three Lincoln Freighters converted by Field Aircraft Services at Tollerton with deep refrigerated ventral holds to carry meat from Paraguay. The scheme fell through and the aircraft were scrapped by Fields. Ex RAF RE376.

Actually B-004, this is one of 30 Lincolns delivered to Argentina in 1947. Although serialled RE531, it never flew with the RAF, going from Avro straight into store at Langar. Along with 15 Lancasters, they represented the biggest bomber force in S. America. Lincolns were used in the attempted military coup of 9.51, by both sides during the 1955 Revolución Libertadora that deposed Juan Perón, and for Antarctic supply drops. One other, B-016, survives in Argentina at Villa Reynolds AB, San Luis Prov.

Australian built. Parked on western edge of the airport, it was used for fire and rescue training. When work started on developing that part of the airport, the plane was taken to the fire pan and burnt. Nose preserved by Camden Aviation Museum.
