Linair (Libya) was set up in Tripoli in 1962 to provide passenger and cargo charters on behalf of the energy industry. Shareholding was divided between local Libyan concerns and Sabena Belgian World Airlines, which provided the aircraft and technical support. In later years it operated for African Air Charters as N47FE. Written off on take-off Quelimane Airport, Mozambique 21 Apr 1988.

6 am, after traveling over the night from aviation museum to temporary display location in new residential area. After months of aircraft polishing done by volunteers in aviation museum, looking like a new, just waiting to get wings back.

After years of kept around airfield waiting what next, towed to Aviation Museum for cleaning.

This C-47A was operated with a handful of airlines over the years. It was with Macedonian Aviation from Mar until December 1974. Lympne Airfield operated until 1984.

With freight doors wide open to accommodate the fuel tanks about to be loaded into its fuselage, parked at the base of its operators, Woods Air Service, whose titles it would soon carry. Built in 1944 for the USAAF as 42-93524. Following service in Mexico as XB-BIS, joined Woods Air Fuel Inc of Palmer, Alaska in late 1989 as N50CM.

Originally US Army Air Force 42-92983. It then went to Pan American Airways in Mar 1946 as NC54705 and Spantax SA in Jun 1960 first as EC-WQB and shortly after EC-AQB. Acquired by Aeroflete in May 1968.

This was delivered to the USAAF as 42-92449 in 1944. After WWII it became F-BEFB and was later drafted into the French AF as 92449. It passed to the museum in 1970 and was later painted in USAAF colours as 42-100558 in 2004 and is now on display in the new WWII hall. The real 42-100558 became CX-BJG in Uruguay after WWII.

Wartime service with USAAF as 42-23509. Joined the Czechoslovak Government in 1946. Transferred from the Czechoslovakian Air Force to France's Armée de l'Air in 1960 as 23509. Bought in 1972 by Rousseau Aviation and registered F-WSGY. Sold in the US in 1974. Seen here as N18262 in transit through Prestwick to its new owners, the Aircraft Surplus Company of Tucson, AZ. Sold again in 1975, to Canada as C-GWIR. Moved from Northwest Territorial Airways to Buffalo Airways in 1994. Suffered an engine fire and crashlanded at Yellowknife, NWT in Aug 2013. Still there by 2016, reportedly awaiting repairs.

Last one of the reg cannot be read but, based on aircraft name, this is almost certainly ex 42-92873, leased to Pioneer Air Lines from 1946 until 1952, then returned to military service as a C-117C.
