This C-47's was delivered to the USAAF as 42-92449 in 1944. After WWII it became F-BEFB and was later drafted into the French AF as 92449. It passed to the museum in 1970 and was later painted in USAAF colours as 42-100558 in 2004 and is now on display in the new WWII hall. The real 42-100558 became CX-BJG in Uruguay after WWII.

Wartime service with USAAF as 42-23509. Joined the Czechoslovak Government in 1946. Transferred from the Czechoslovakian Air Force to France's Armée de l'Air in 1960 as 23509. Bought in 1972 by Rousseau Aviation and registered F-WSGY. Sold in the US in 1974. Seen here as N18262 in transit through Prestwick to its new owners, the Aircraft Surplus Company of Tucson, AZ. Sold again in 1975, to Canada as C-GWIR. Moved from Northwest Territorial Airways to Buffalo Airways in 1994. Suffered an engine fire and crashlanded at Yellowknife, NWT in Aug 2013. Still there by 2016, reportedly awaiting repairs.

Last one of the reg cannot be read but, based on aircraft name, this is almost certainly ex 42-92873, leased to Pioneer Air Lines from 1946 until 1952, then returned to military service as a C-117C. This C-47 served with the Força Aérea Portuguesa from 1961 until transferred to the Museu do Ar in 1976. It was then stored at Sintra on behalf of the museum. When the Museu do Ar moved its main display location from Alverca to Sintra in 2009/2010, this C-47 was fully restored and placed on outdoor display there. It is seen here when it was still in storage in unrestored condition. Serial 6157 visible on the wing underside.

Reportedly converted to SC-47A in 1956 and, in the absence of a service record card, we may assume it was based in Iceland or Greenland on SAR duties judging by the combustion heater exhaust stain on the fuselage. When seen here it was assigned to the 7531st Ammunition Squadron at Welford, Berkshire and used for shipping ordinance to USAF bases in the UK. Last known stored at Davies Monthan in September 1967.

Delivered to the USAAF as 44-76517 then to the RAF as KN422 in 1945. To the Royal Thai Air Force as L.2-8/90 in 1946. Preserved at the Royal Thai Air Force Museum from 1994. Moved to the Crown Prince Tawee Wattana Palace collection in 2007.

Carrying Terra Surveys titles and logo, taxi-ing for departure from Prestwick after an extended transit. One of many Dakotas modified for survey work passing through over the years for duties in Europe and the Middle East, a role now fulfilled by Basler BT-76s. Wfu in Malta in 1980. Passed to Hal Far Fire School in 1984. Transferred to storage with the Malta Aviation Museum in 1996.

Delivered to the USAAF in December 1943 as 42-100857. Civilianized as NC70 and later N23 & N41 operating for the CAA/FAA. Written off in a ground accident at Kenai in November 1975 and although registered as N2273K never flew as such and the aircraft was later transported to Kulis ANGB as part of the National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program. Later painted in false Alaska ANG markings as '0315497'. Moved to Elmendorf Air Force Base when Kulis ANGB closed in 2011.

Ex 42-93610, KG674 and SAAF 6838. Delivered to the South African Department of Transport on 21st August 1958 and flew with them for for over 43 years before being sold to DRC based Business Aviation in 2002. Purchased by Skyclass Aviation in July 2007 and used to fly freight between her Johannesburg base and Gaborone in Botswana. Bought by Lush Aviation in 2011 and Springbok Classic Air in 2015, she eventually made her way back to the US in 2018 as N353MM with a New Jersey based owner.
