Quite a collection of piston power. After much research with a Colombian expert, the identity of this C-47 is now known (2021), as are several of the previously unknown FAC Daks. FAC677A turns out to be the former N91379, which was delivered to Colombia circa 1981. I was lucky enough to be able to tour the COTAM ramp allowing for close up shots of that rare DC-7 (FAC923) which was originally BOAC's G-AOIA, although the weather didn't play ball.

This An-26 was given to Somalia by Libya in 1990 and has been stored at NBO since 1993. Although the c/n is unknown, it was previously 8204 with the Libyan Air Force, hence the derived Somali registration (which may be properly prefixed MM). Probably still there today

Began her career in 9.43 with the RCAF and put into service by the RAE at West Freugh in May 1969 as 'KG661'; in 1979 it was realised that this identity actually belonged to c/n 13478 so current serial ZA947 was allocated instead! Looking immaculate here, this short-nose Prince was delivered to Shell Petroleum in 1950 and flown by famous WWII pilot Douglas Bader before being sold to Venezuela as YV-PAEO later that year. She came back to Britain in 1953 and was used by the Sperry Gyroscope Co, then Decca Navigator based at Biggin Hill in 1961. Registration cancelled on export to the USA in 11.76 and ferried to Van Nuys where she remained in derelict condition as N206UP. Now on private land at Antelope Acres, CA

Air Spain sticks in my memory for two good reasons, one that they flew Britannias, the other that they had this striking colour scheme. This early DC-8 began life in 1.60 with Eastern as N8601 and was one of six acquired from them by Air Spain from 1.71. After merger talks with Aviaco broke down, the airline ceased operations in 1.75 and this aircraft was scrapped by AJI at Van Nuys in 1977 as N48CA
