US Navy J4F-2 Bu 37713 1943 until sold surplus in 1946. This Widgeon became NC58828 (later N58828) with private owner Angus G. McKinnon. Teaming with Vernon Hickman, the Super Widgeon conversion was developed by the McKinnon - Hickman Company and the aircraft was converted in 1953. Registered CF-HAC in Canada after the upgrade, the aircraft returned to the USA in 1958 as N137B and after 1984, N778D.

US Navy Grumman JRF-5 Goose 87744 (cn B-138) served 1945 - 52. The US Department of Interior, Fish & Wildlife Service flew it as N779 1954 - 64 before the the amphibian was converted to a McKinnon G-21C Turbo Goose (new cn 1203) and sold to the Government of British Columbia as CF-BCI. Airline service was next with Air West / Air BC 1973 - 84 before uprated engines changed the aircraft to a G-21G and the it was sold to Crown Forest Industries. To Peninsula Airways (PenAir) in 1991 as N660PA , it disappeared on a flight from Anderson Bay to Unalaska in Alaska on August 11, 1996.

This Turbo Goose was owned by the Halliburton Co. when at KNEW in Jan. 1985. G-21A, msn 1013, sold to J.P. Bickell and McIntyre-Porcupine Mines in Toronto as CF-BKE in 1938. Gift to RCAF in Sep. 1939 as No. 926. Flew in BC with No. 13 (OT), 120 (BR) & 122 (K) Sqns. (1940-1943). To RCAF Photo Flt and No. 167 (Comm) Sqn. (1943-45). To Charles H. Babb in Jan 1945 as NC18175. To Halliburton in Jun 1954. Cvt by McKinnon in Sandy, OR to G-21E Turbo Goose, msn 1211 with P&WC PT6A-27s in May 1970. Sold Nov 1992 to Air Power. To Stallion Aircraft/John Rogers 1995. Crashed KBPA, Jun 13, 1995. 2 killed.

US Navy J4F-2 bu 37757 from November 1944 until struck off strength in July 1947 after a training accident. Bought and repaired, the amphibian was registered NC63350 in 1949. Spending the majority of civilian life in Alaska, it was converted in May 1958 to a McKinnon Super Widgeon using McKinnon kit and Lycoming GO-480 engines. The current owner bought the aircraft in 1989. After a landing accident on September 7, 1991 where the aircraft nosed over landing with the parking brake engaged, it went through a 13 month rebuild where corrosion found was also repaired.

E ZK-ERX, N5558, TF-ISR, USN 37809 (JRF-5). The original Grumman c/n was B-62, a new c/n being allocated in 1969 when it was converted to turboprop power by McKinnon.

Delivered to Tradewinds Aviation in June 1975, but nosed aver and sank during landing a year later. It was recovered and restored afterwards.

This Grumman Goose (B-125) was converted to P&WC PT6A-27 turboprop engines by McKinnon Enterprises in 1970 to become G-21G Turbo Goose, msn 1226. The aircraft was a corporate aircraft in Alaska and in Louisiana before entering private ownership. The owner flew the aircraft from Oakland Country Airport, Michigan to Hammondsport, New York to attend the 2007 Glenn H. Curtiss Museum seaplane fly on Keuka Lake.

This Grumman G-21 Turbo Goose aircraft was converted to P&WC PT6A-20 turboprops by McKinnon Enterprises of Sandy, OR for the Government of British Columbia. It was later operated by Airwest (alongside C-FAWH) and Air BC (Pattison Industries) in Vancouver before it was sold to Crown Forest Industries in June 1984. It was one of 23 aircraft that participated in the Expo 86 Bushplane Flypast on May 5, 1986. It's seen water taxing past the Expo 86 Aviation Plaza on False Creek in downtown Vancouver. As Pen Air's N660PA it crashed into the sea off Dutch Harbour, Alaska on August 11, 1996.

This 1941 Widgeon was impressed in 1942 and operated by Pan American Airways for the US Navy as a J4F-2 BuNo 99077. Seen here operated by Northern Flyer LLC, making a low pass over Lake Hood during Alaska Aviation Air Museum's annual salmon bake fundraising event.

Delivered to the US Navy as J4F-2 Bu32958 in 1943. Civilianised as G-44 NC1069M in 1947. Reregistered as N1069M after 1948, N69T in 1953 and N86T in 1967. Converted to a Super Widgeon. To CF-KKF in 1958 then to N13122 and converted to a McKinnon Super Widgeon in 1967. To the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum in 2002 and mainitained in airworthy condition.

US Navy Widgeon 37716 was delivered December 12, 1943. Struck off strength in May 1946 and sold as surplus. Registered N67586, it was converted by McKinnon - Hickman to a Continental powered Super Widgeon in 1955. The aircraft was flying in Canada between May 1973 - October 1980. Although it crashed in Alaska in 1983, the classic seaplane was rebuilt using parts from three other aircraft in 1989 and is current as N480AK based in Anchorage, AK at the time of uploading.

This Widgeon was delivered in 1941 as NC28679. It had a varied career with the USAAF (as 42-38217) and in Africa, lastly as N3103Q, until withdrawn from use in the mid 1970s and stored at Malta. It was bought by Lawrence Usher in 1987 and restored at Ipswich, UK. He registered it as G-DUCK on 15 Nov 1988. In 1992 the aircraft was shipped to the Musée de l'Hydraviation and later placed on display, painted as seen here. The Widgeon has its original registration NC28679 painted at the top of the tail. This is a composite airframe, with the wings, engines and props probably coming from Super Widgeon N750M c/n 1341.
