Neville Duke set a new absolute world airspeed record 7 September 1953 flying WB188 at 727.63 mph. He flew from Tangmere and it is only fitting that the aircraft is displayed here. As can be seen in this photo, the crew at the museum take very good care of their exhibits. Here the tail has been removed and the engine is getting some attention.
