This 1978 Metro was one of three delivered to Lineas Aereas Privadas Argentinas, the first private airline in Argentina to be able to compete with the government owned Aerolineas Argentinas and Austral Airlines. The Metros were sold in the USA and Inland Empire Airlines leased all three in November 1979. This one went to Britt Airways when Air Chaparrall (who had absorbed Inland Empire) ceased operations. The aircraft was recently with Carson Air in Canada as C-GKLN from 2007 - 2017.

Leased by Royal Aviation in January 2001, it was merged into Canada 3000 in April. As Air Canada merged the operations of Canadian Airlines in 2001, they began to down guage equipment and later pull out of some regional routes. Air North bought two 737s May 2002 after the failure of Canada 3000 as a result of the World Trade Center attack in the USA to keep mainline service. Pictured in the basic Royal Aviation colors, C-GNAU was retired by Air North in 2011.

The airline changed it's name in March 1993 as several companies were merged into Canadian Partner. The aircraft was returned the following December and it was later sold in the USA. Eventually going to Panama in September 1996 as HP-1326 for Aeroperlas Regional, the fuselage remains as headquarters for the Aero Club de Panama.
